In today’s plastic world, it’s important to have at least one major credit card in your wallet. Creditcards are required for many things, including rental cars, hotels, and shopping online.
While it’s true that not everyone can qualify for a traditional credit card due to credit problems, there are alternatives (think prepaid cards) that can provide the conveniences of credit cards without the poor credit history hassle.
Having a major credit card also provides an element of safety as having one gives you a cushion of “emergency funds” should the need ever arise.
